Anyways, I havent been blogging for a long time. Just because college is so damn boring and I don't get to see my old friends like I used to :(

So what's new in my life, hmmm. Well, my mid-year exam is coming and I haven't started studying as usual. Somehow, even in college, I don't feel much urgency.

Oh yea!!! I went to this place "Pasta Zanmai". It's this jap restaurant serving pasta dishes. Yea, it sounds weird. I didn't like the thought either and a frend confirmed it either. So whhen I tasted the dishes the, the first thought in my mind was: "FUCK YOU (insert name of friend)!!!!!"

The food there was delicious. No pictures because I devoured it before I can remember. I had grilled jap beef with onsen egg and salmon pasta. MMMmmmm....... Then later washed it down with unagi pizza with an onsen egg on top......


The picture is actually chicken but I couldn't find the eel one....

Finally, I've just found out that a friend has started bloggerg. Yay!! Always nice to have a new kid on the block. I haven't checked it out yet cuz she so unkindly didn't tell me the url. But anyway, everyone join me to welcome the newest member of the blogging community..........Grace!!!

Of Gullible People and Luxury Books

Last week I got an SMS from a friend

"Pls go to http://www.iyouweblog.com/ on tsunami this morning in Penang."

Needless to say i searched and found the page. In the page it was written that on 8 of April, a tsunami happened at 7.14 am. There was even a video.

However, after further digging, I found out thet the "breaking news" was actually crap made up by an idiot and a dumb moderator. The video was a modified version of the tsunami in 2004. Oh yeah, some other idiot copied and redid the whole page into his blog.

This got me thinking, some people are so gullible. That is why so many people are losing their money on fake get-rich-quick scams. Really, I bet you think Bert and Ernie were just roommates. Falling for tricks and jokes is one thin, but when will people accept the if it's too good to be true, it ain't gonna work. Seriously, if my friend had even an ounce of common sense she would have checked first..... And I wouldn't have wasted an hour!

Since I'm complaining here I might as well complain about another thing. WHY THE HELL ARE BOOKS SO FUCKING EXPENSIVE!!!! Looking at the original book covers, it seems that Americans and the English are paying less the 10 per book!!

No Wonder Malaysians only read 2 books a year! These books are considered luxury items because of their price! 35 for a book that takes 2 hours to finish isn't worth it.....

Because of this I have to be extremely choosy over what books I buy. Only the best make the cut! Fufufu. I love reading and I love money and I love chocolate(nothing to do with anything, I just love it) But when awesome books are in front of me I will swallow my pride and buy it.

But really, I would love to expand my home library, but my wallet and the Malaysian government won't let me!!

On a lighter note, I'm so freaking excited about 2 new series coming out by Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series!!

First up is THe Kane Chronicles, unlike Percy Jackson, this is set according to Egyptian Gods! Kewl!!! Kane chorinicles is another book that is actually made for teens and pre-teens but I love Riordan too much to pass on this book. I've already read the first chapter, awesome!!

The book is in stores May 4th!!! That means it'll be in Malaysia 2 months after that......gah....

Another awesome book is a new Olympians series!! Yay!!!!

Today, Disney-Hyperion announced that the second series of Camp Half-Blood adventures will be called The Heroes of Olympus. The first book, The Lost Hero, will be published Oct. 12, 2010.

It will all be based on the prophecy said in the last Percy Jackson book:

"Seven half-bloods shall answer the call,
To storm or fire the world must fall.
An oath to keep with a final breath,
And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death. "

This is gonna be an awesome book!!!

P.S. Logan Lerman is NOT hot. Only cute. Johnny Depp IS hot. LOL

Pleasure Before Pain

NO!!!! Not that pleasure......

I got my SPM results on Thursday. 10 A!!!!! 5 A+!!!! English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and EST!!!! Whoot!!! I would have killed myself if I did not get A+ for Eng and Math but getting that high for Physics! Wow......

Celebrated by going to Neway and then I was whisked off to Wonderland. Even beneath all that makeup, Johnny Depp is still HAWT!!!! I wanna learn how to dance the........er.........DANCE!!!

The pain came 2 days later in the form of an injection. The injection itself didn't hurt, but I think the Doc hit a nerve. My arms been sore for hours. Even now, I'm typing one-handed. I can't do push ups today.......

SPM and Johnny Depp on the Same Day!

It's official folks, SPM results will be out on the 11th of March! The same day Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland comes out. Hmm...... Anyone thinking what I'm thinking...........

KUALA LUMPUR: The results of the 2009 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) examinations will be announced next Thursday (March 11), according to a statement from the director-general of education.

The results will be released at schools from 10am on that day, the statement said, adding that private candidates will get their results in the mail.

A total of 165,853 sat for the SPM written examination at 3,569 centres in the country between Nov 18 and Dec 16 last year while 6,920 candidates took the STAM examination at 98 centres between Oct 19 and 27, the statement said. -- Bernama

Why is note taking a damn lesson!!!! English as a Second Language lessons are full of CRAP!!!! No literature, no Shakespere, no FUN!!!!! Australians are looking down on our English (I don't blame them). Fucking Hell!!!!!! I feel like I'm in retard class........

8 hours have passed since my outburst. I'm still mad about the fact that I can't drop THAT class for the better English Studies class........ Gah!!!! High school standard is too low........

Anyway, the reason I'm back here is because I found a really funny statement in one of my text books. Surprisingly, it's from the moral education (another subject to sleep in) book. Here it is:

"Bentham introduced a scientific principle to analyse the quantity of pleasures, ie the calculus of pleasures, or the Hedonic Calculus. He allotted each factor with a value which can be analyzed, eg a value can be divided into:

(1) Intensity of pleasure derived from an action

(2) Duration of pleasure

(3) Certainty of pleasure

(4) Inclination to the experience of pleasure

(5) Tendency to be followed by more pleasure

(6) Purity or tendency for an action to produce opposite effect and pain.

~ This will also be considered and the results can be compared to determine the total balance of bad and good

(7) The calculus is done by multiplying the total balance with the extent or number of people experiencing pleasure or suffering.

Factors 1 - 4 are normally taken into consideration in measuring the value of pleasure and suffering. When counting many pleasures or suffering, factors 5 and 6 are taken into consideration. Meanwhile, factor 7 is used when many people are involved."

Whoot!!!! It's Chinese New Year!!!! I'm doing some serious push-ups and weight lifting now, getting for the wave of angpaus I'm gonna get............ Joking la, I dun exercise. XP

Busy

I can't believe how hectic this week is!!! 1 month in colledge and I've got a project to hand in AND an exam next week!!!!! GAHHH!!!!!

There's gonna be a part 2 of my birthday but unfortunately, my phone cable decided to take a holiday to goodness knows where and I'm unable to upload d remaining photos........HAiz........

Anyway, today there was a talk on City Survival. But, unlike all the other talks I've been to (NOte-taking, time-management....BORING) this was a talk I actually enjoyed. OMG! WHY!!!!

First off, the speaker had about 300 times the sense of humor as the other lectures put together! Secondly, he talked about crimes and showed some grisly pics......... It was increadibly interesting! Oh, towards the end, anothe guy taught basic self defence. Basically, it all involves kicking where it hurts the most. And guess what.....IT"S NOT THE GROIN!!!! Gah!!! The movies are lies!!!!! IT's the shin!!!!

The funniest part of the whole thing is, when he demonstrated a grab from behind, instead of using volunteers, he called someone we thought was a secretary. When he grabbed from behind, he grabbed......the BOOBS!!!! Everyone watching had the same expression \('0')/. Then, with his hands still over her boobs, he calmly said:" I can do this because she's my wife." Wakakakakakakakakaakakakakakaka!!!! OMG The whole hall erupted with laughter!!

Overall, It was an interesting talk and I would recommend it to anyone. Now I've got to buy some pepper spray. Toodles.
