New Semester, New Troubles, New Light

I love Uni

But I hate to go to Uni after Hoildays....... D:

Another thing I hate more than Uni? Mornings

Now combine these two and Voilà! It's now evident that I'm not having the time of my life now.

Oh Mornings.... Y U COME SO EARLY!!??

 At least it's not all bad.

Snacks were on sale for the longest time, I bought so MUCH!!

 Now I have tons of junk food to ease the transition.

*Munches on a TimTam while opening a bag of Doritos*

On a more serious note, I'm not just a person who only complains and whines all the time. The are reasons behind my discourse.

I may hate going to school/college/uni but I usually suck it up for 1 reason: I LOVE learning. I just don't like the way it's taught. For example: I have a gigantic interest in History, but the way Sejarah is taught in school killed it for the longest time. However, last semester, I took a course on Human Ecological History and enjoyed it immensely!

Here's the difference between the two subjects:

In Sejarah, facts were shoved down my throat. I was taught how to feel and what I need to remember. I only studied this subjact to pass exams. IT was the type of thing that you had no choice of the matter. Like you needed to study, like you had to remember it. And that was the root of the problem. Remember. Not appreciate. Not enjoy. Remember. Gah!

In HEH, however, students were taught the events and ideas and they would be up to our own interpretation. There is no right answer. I have even read up on things myself that were not taught in class, just because I want to know more! MOAR!!! Curiosity killed the cat? Rubbish! Curiosity is what drives you forward!! (It also helped that I discovered Hetalia at that time too XP )

It's the year of the rabbit and most places are cashing in on this particular animal.

Since bunnies are less scary than say snakes or dragons (wusses), Many advertising agencies are using the rabbits's image to promote things to children. But don't be fooled by the rabbit's long ears, pink nose and fluff; their bite can seriously HURT you!!

Chinese New Year is one of the hardest holidays. Not only am I leaving exactly 1 week after CNY, all the food and CNY cookies are threatening my bikini body. NOOOOO!!!!!! Siriusly, I cannot stop myself from munching all the goodies even after a huge dinner! Curse you cookies!!!

On an Unrelated note, I finished reading and re-reading Lost Hero. I think it's pretty stupid the I spend RM35 on a 2 day entertainment. I guess to save money I have to do one thing. KIDNAP THE PM AND FORCE HIM TO LOWER THE PRICE OF BOOKS!!!!!!! (For me at least)

Too Much

Egads!!! Haven't blogged in a while!! I have been so freakin busy! This week i have to submit an assignment and have a Math Exam!!! I started the assignment 2 days before the submission date and started studying for maths at the same time........ Damn, I got 4 hours of sleep yesterday.......

hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh <--- That was my face falling on the keyboard (I have a very sharp nose).

At least those two are done with but next week...... NEXT WEEK!!!! Chemistry on Monday, Maths DI on Tues and Weds, Biology on Friday!!!! T.T And I haven't started studying yet.

I don't think I have enough time to study...... Saturday is my class reunion and Sunday is my relax and do nothing day...... I am so lazy........

Lucky Friday 13th

I knew IT!!!

Friday 13th is one of the luckiest day in the world! For me at least :)

The day started nice enoug. Since the teacher already finished the syllabus, i had first period off. Which means I can sleep longer and have a decent breakfast for once. Yay!!!!

And the best part, class ended 2 hours earlier too!!!

Because of that, I had lunch with dad and mum. They asked me to choose a place for lunch.....
Hehehe...

I have always wanted to go to this place Souled Out ever since a friend mentioned it to me a few months back. Only catch, $$$. So naturally, I suggested there......

That night, i got slightly luckier, my mum's usual inedible porridge was actually good for once. (But then she got me by making me teach her how to make a graph on excel. Took 30 mins to get her to understand that you need to make a table first.......)

And last but not least, daddy chose this day to wear his pink office shirt.... Yeah....... And his new Blackberry wall paper was, get this, a blue butterfly with a PINK cherry. YEAH........ I had a LOT to talk about during lunch.......

Btw, Fettuccine Carbonara at Souled Out, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Late At Night

I can't sleep...... It's about 12.40 am now but I'm not even drowsy, maybe it's cause I slept at 3 yesterday. Oh well.

Right now I'm watching Idol 7 reruns on 8tv. David Cook was cuter then than now. Lol. I'm also playing with my cat. Online. On a friendster application. A girl can dream can she? Also thinking for the blueprint for my house. Again online. On myminilife.com. Should I get that adorable sofa set? Why not? What else am I doing? Oh yeah, Blogging. Talk about multi tasking.

I've got my driving test at 1.30pm tomorrow. I guess that actually today. Oh well. The person who is suppose to send me there is fetching me at my home at 12. That's how efficient Malaysia is. That means I gotta skip school. Not complaining. But then it means missing my English Literature class and computer class. Damn. Puan Lee is gonna kill me.

Oh Jimmy Kimmel was on Idol. I forgot that. Lolz. Simon's nipple.

Speaking of Malaysia. Let me tell you something about Malaysian cars. Not the Proton. The cars the are assembled in Malaysia. My dad recently bought a Mercs.


That's the one. He got it as a 47th birthday present to himself. You know men and their mid-life-crisis. I guess he can't stand ties anymore. So anyway, he got the car on Saturday and then on Monday he couldn't get it to start. IT seems there were some loose wires. Oh yeah, when the mechanics were fixing it, they found a host of other problems. I won't bore you with the details but the car had to be kept overnight at the workshop!! How's that for the brand "Made in Malaysia".

Oh, before I forget. My dad is on a business trip now. Somewhere in India. He left yesterday. So he's not spending Father's day with us. Oh well. My family still had a Father's day dinner. Without him. Using his credit card. LOlx. Anyway......
